Need to make changes to your flight? Just sign in with your six digit booking reference. You can find it in our confirmation emails.

What changes can I make to my booking?

When you sign in, we'll show you all the different changes you can make. You'll have more options if you booked a flexi fare, and if you make changes before the day of your flight.

We'll let you know if your changes will incur any extra costs. Some options may not be available for your flight.

Adding or confirming your contact details will help us keep you updated if anything changes.

Change your flight

If you booked a flexi fare, you can change your booking before the day of your flight without any change fees. You can find the full details of your fare type on our fare rules page. Your fare type is noted on the receipt page of your E-ticket.

For travel to and from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Apia, Fiji and Tonga, you can defer or bring forward travel without change or service fees for travel up to and including 31 October 2022.

Can I manage my booking online?

Yes, unless:

  • You booked through a travel agent or a different airline. Please contact them directly.
  • Your flights are in the past. Sign in to Airpoints to add a flight to your account.
  • You have more than nine people in your group. Contact our Group Travel team.
  • You have a multi-city booking. Contact us to make changes.
  • You have a booking purchased with a promo code. Contact us to make changes.

Changes to Perth, Tahiti and Honolulu flights

We made a few changes to our offerings for Perth, Tahiti and Honolulu flights to enhance and provide a consistent Air New Zealand experience on these longer flights.

Perth and Tahiti

  • From 20 October, Seat and Seat + Bag fares will no longer be available to be booked on flights departing after 30 October.
  • You will now be able to choose between The Works (Economy), Premium Economy and Business Premier.
  • If you purchased a Seat or Seat + Bag prior to 20 October, you will get a full meal, beverage and in-flight entertainment if travelling after 30 October.
  • Original ticketed baggage allowance, Airpoints™ Dollars and Status Points accrual will apply to your existing tickets.

Honolulu

  • From 30 October, flights to Honolulu will move to a full-service offering.
  • You can choose between Economy, Premium Economy and Business Premier on these flights.
  • If you purchased a Seat, Seat + Bag or The Works, you will automatically get our full service Economy offering.
  • Original ticketed baggage allowance, Airpoints™ Dollars and Status Points accrual will apply to your existing tickets.
