We care for our people by keeping them safe, preparing for the future, and supporting all our teams to thrive.
We're committed to providing a safe, inclusive workplace – ensuring diversity in leadership, being a talent incubator, and fostering a culture that delivers a highly engaged workforce. We were proud to be awarded New Zealand's most attractive employer in 2025 by Randstad for a third year running, reflecting the importance we place on culture, engagement and inclusivity. If you're interested in joining us, take a look at our careers site.
We track our progress against the targets we have set ourselves, including our safety performance, team engagement and wellbeing, diversity, equity and inclusion. Find out more in our 2025 Annual Report, our 2025 Gender Pay Report and our 2025 Workforce Profile as at 30 June 2025.
Our Mangōpare pilot cadetship is designed to help Air New Zealand continue to meet future demand for pilots by inspiring people from all backgrounds to pursue a career as a pilot. We fund most of the training costs, which helps reduce financial barriers and accelerate training.

To support the communities where we live, work and fly, we help create opportunities to support tourism, and we undertake a significant programme of regional marketing activity, including destination brand development, trade familiarisations, community sponsorship, and Regional Event Sponsorship programme.
In 2025, we were thrilled to provide $1.2 million to support 115 grassroots nature projects around the country through the Every Corner Project. Projects include planting, wetland restoration, composting and predator control.
Air New Zealand is a proud member of The Valuable 500, a global movement uniting 500 of the world's most influential businesses to drive disability inclusion and accessibility. In 2025, we undertook our first flight familiarisation experience for neurodivergent children and their families in partnership with Autism New Zealand and Acorn Neurodiversity. The experience replicated key stages of air travel in a safe and calm environment.
We recognise te ao Māori and te reo Māori as especially important to Aotearoa New Zealand's identity. We collaborated with the Māori Language Commission to develop the 'Tohu Reo' pin, a language identifier pin that can be worn by fluent te reo Māori speakers at Air New Zealand. To support te reo Māori to fly, Air New Zealand, in partnership with NZ Māori Tourism, created the Kia Rere app. The app, produced by Kiwa Digital, has a range of interactive features including audio learning and the ability to create a mihimihi. Kia Rere is available to download in the App Store and on Google Play.
